Left Campland and headed for Palm Springs with a short stop at Ikea along the way. The route we took included some windy roads and steep in places and especially on the way down into Palm Springs. Did not realize how high the mountains were in this area, very pretty views. Where there is no development it is just dessert but where they have made golf courses and private resorts it is very lush.
We drove down Palm Springs "Rodeo" drive and later walked past and even stopped in some do the shops along the way. Ate supper at California Pizza Kitchen and spent a free night at a Casino. Did a walk through the Casino and saw that is was almost all just slot type machines with a few 21 tables. It was very noisy and smokey and not sure what people see as for the attraction. No desire to ever come through this place again.
